The Swiss Jazz Orchestra is the busiest professional big band in Switzerland. The core of its activities is a weekly concert series in Bern, which runs from mid-October to the end of May each year and comprises about 30 concerts.

Since this year is the 25th anniversary of the SJO, I decided to go with a Happy Sprinkles cake decoration design.

Including all external engagements, the SJO has already performed almost 800 times. In addition, the SJO performs with projects of various styles, which are documented on 12 CDs so far. The SJO has more than 1'000 arrangements and original compositions by band members.

In 2010, the SJO was awarded the great cultural prize of the Burgergemeinde Bern for its services. Since 2020, the SJO is on the list of regionally important cultural institutions of the Bern-Mittelland region.
