Image of this year's Jazz Season of the Swissjazz Orchestra at Bierhübeli Bern
The Swiss Jazz Orchestra is the busiest professional big band in Switzerland. The core of its activities is a weekly concert series at the Bierhübeli Bern, which runs from mid-October to the end of May and includes some 30 concerts. Including all external engagements, the SJO has already performed over 700 concerts. In addition, the SJO performs with projects of various styles, which are documented on 11 CDs so far. The SJO has more than 1'000 arrangements and original compositions by band members.
